We Found The Best Rep Fitness Equipment In 2024

Quick heads-up: if you use my links to buy something, I may earn a commission (at no extra cost to you, of course). It's one way to support the work I do here. For the full scoop, check out this page.

Rep Fitness has some truly great equipment; considering just how great their prices are, it’s actually surprising just how much value they provide.

Whether you’re looking for a new barbell, plates, or kettlebells – REP has you covered!

Where they really shine is their power racks and benches. All of their racks have incredible build quality, with new accessories being created each year.

The benches they offer are an incredible value as well! All of their benches are built with heavy gauge steel and won’t be overpriced like some of Rogues’ are.

That being said, let’s go over the best equipment that Rep Fitness has to offer, starting with their barbells!

Rep Fitness Barbells

Rep Fitness is known for its racks, but they also have some great barbells as well!

Just like my Rogue guide, I’ll be going over their best Olympic, Powerlifting, and Multipurpose Bars, as well as the budget options they have available.

RELATED – Best Barbells For Your Home Gym

Olympic Barbells

As explained in my previous guides, Olympic Bars will be more expensive for a few reasons.

  1. They require a balance of flexibility and durability to allow for better execution of the Olympic lifts. They basically need more whip and have to survive a lifetime of dropping the weight from overhead positions.
  2. They also need smooth rotating sleeves constructed from usually expensive needle bearings.

These major factors are necessary to qualify as a quality Olympic lifting bar. Luckily, REP has some solid options, as you’ll soon see.

Best – REP Stainless Steel Gladiator WL Barbell

Best REP Olympic Bar
REP Gladiator WL Barbell

The Rep Fitness Gladiator Barbell is the perfect bar for Olympic weightlifting-style training and high-intensity workouts. It features needle-bearing sleeves, IWF knurl markings, and ribbed sleeves, with a smooth spin and turnover during lifts. Available in 15kg and 20kg variants, with rust-resistant hard chrome or full stainless-steel coatings, the barbell has a 28mm diameter, medium-depth knurling, and is rated for 1,500 lbs.

The best Olympic Lifting Bar that Rep Fitness sells is the stainless steel Gladiator Weightlifting Bar.

As explained in my Rogue equipment guide, stainless steel offers a superior feel and performance. On top of that, it’s also maintenance-free steel that won’t chip and rust.

This bar is also rated for 1500 Ibs, has 5 needle bearings in each sleeve, and has a medium depth knurl. This gives you a solid grip on the barbell without tearing up your hands like a more aggressive knurl.

You can check out REPs’ Stainless Steel Gladiator Weightlifting Bar here.

Runner Up – REP Technique Bar

Budget REP Olympic Bar
REP Technique Bar

Our 15 lb aluminum technique barbell is ideal for working on Olympic weightlifting technique. This bar fits on standard width Olympic power rack and is best paired up with our 5 lb REP Technique training plates!

The REP Technique Bar only weighs 15 lbs, with a weight capacity of only 200 lbs. But that’s why it’s called a technique bar!

This is perfect for those who are just starting out with the Olympic lifts and want to dial in their technique before deciding to invest in a more expensive bar.

REP also has some more durable multipurpose Barbells if you can lift 135+ Ibs consistently on the Olympic lifts.

I’ll be going over those later if you want to get a hybrid bar instead of a pure weightlifting bar.

If you’re interested in a super cheap bar to work on your Olympic lifts, REP’s technique bar is what you want to get.

Powerlifting Bars

Our next section will be covering power bars. Powerlifting bars usually have more aggressive knurl, so you have less of a chance of losing your grip with super heavy loads.

They are also much stiffer than Olympic bars as they need to handle more weight. Adding to that, most have a center knurl to help with grip on your back for squats.

As you can see from this massive Squat from Eric Lilliebridge, squatting this much weight with anything other than a power bar isn’t a great idea as the whip can cause you to lose control.

You’ll also notice that they have single knurl markings that mark the maximum grip width for a competition bench press.

With that out of the way, let’s go over the best powerlifting bars that REP Fitness currently makes!

The best power bar that REP Fitness has to offer is the Stainless Steel Power Bar V2.

You guys know how awesome stainless steel bars are. It makes it easy to just lift without having to worry about regularly maintaining your bar to keep it in tip-top shape.

That’s only part of why REP’s Power Bar V2 is so incredible! It also has a medium depth that won’t tear up your hands with multiple sets, as is the case when training for strength and powerlifting in general.

This bar is also rated for 1500 Ibs and is 29mm, which provides extra stiffness.

If you want a bar with almost identical specs with a much deeper knurl, you could also check out their REP Deep Knurl Power Bar EX

REP Deep Knurl Power Bar EX

The REP stainless-steel deep knurl bar was designed with an experienced powerlifter in mind. This aggressive knurl pattern is cut deep into the uncoated stainless-steel shaft and kept sharp, providing you with a solid grip during your heaviest lifts. The combined effect of both stainless steel and our deep-cut knurl gives you the best grip imaginable.

Both of these bars are amazing, so no matter what you pick, know that you’re getting a premium power bar with a nice stainless steel finish.

Runner Up – REP Basic Barbell

If you want an awesome budget option, the REP Basic Barbell is exactly that! This is the cheapest barbell I’ve seen on the market, but it easily outperforms everything you’ll find on Amazon in this price range.

Even Rogue’s boneyard bars are around $100 more, which is crazy considering how great a deal those are.

While this bar is only rated for 700 lbs, that is perfectly fine for most people. It also has a very basic chrome finish with a medium grip knurl.

If you’re just getting started with strength training and powerlifting, this bar will get the job done without breaking the bank!

Get the REP Basic Barbell here!

Multipurpose Bars

Multipurpose bars are intended to be used for powerlifting, Olympic lifting, CrossFit, and everything in between!

This makes them a true hybrid bar capable of doing it all. For most people, this is the route you should go with if you just plan on training to get stronger, build some muscle, and stay in shape.

If you’re looking into a bar that allows you to train for powerlifting, Crossfit, or even Olympic lifting, a multipurpose bar can do it all.

Plus, I think these hybrid bars from REP have the coolest names by far! You’ll see what I mean in a second!

Best – REP Excalibur Bar

The best multipurpose bar that REP offers also has the best name by far!

The REP Excalibur Bar!

See, told you they’re awesome.

The REP Excalibur Bar comes in multiple different variations depending on what you plan on using it for.

You can get it with a center knurl if you plan on squatting with it. You can also get it with no center knurl if you just want to deadlift with it.

Of course, you can also get it in stainless steel if you want a premium finish that requires no maintenance.

As the Excalibur Bar is hybrid by nature, it offers a unique blend of whip and rigidity for Olympic lifts as well as the Big 3.

This bar is rated for 1500 Ibs and has high-quality bushings that provide a solid spin and stability.

Being a multipurpose bar, the Excalibur Bar has a medium depth knurling for heavy lifts and higher reps alike.

All of this being said, the REP Excalibur Bar is the absolute best multipurpose bar that they currently sell.

If you want the best, this is it.

Runner Up – REP Sabre Bar

It should be hard to find a runner-up with a great name like the Excalibur Bar, right?

Not quite!

The runner-up bar that REP offers is the REP Sabre Bar! See, it’s sweet, told ya!

The REP Sabre Bar is one of the best selling bars that they make.

Just like the Excalibur Bar, the Sabre Bar has a few variations you can choose from.

They have a center knurl, no center knurl, and black zinc, my favorite bar finish.

This bar is an incredible value and allows you to do it all. If you want a budget bar that doesn’t perform like a budget bar, the Sabre Bar is what you want to get.

Rep Fitness Benches

Rep Fitness has some of the absolute best benches on the market with incredible prices as well.

If you check Amazon, you’ll find tons of flimsy adjustable and flat benches that have no stability whatsoever.

They’re cheap, and unfortunately, they’re cheaply made as well.

Reps benches don’t have this problem, however. They’re all incredibly well made, and their adjustable benches are priced competitively.

Let’s go over these awesome benches now!

Best Adjustable – REP AB-5200 Adjustable Bench

The best adjustable bench that Rep Fitness has to offer is the AB-5200 Adjustable Bench.

The AB-5200 is the heaviest duty bench that Rep makes. It’s constructed of a combination of 11 and 7-gauge steel, so you know it’s built like a tank.

It also has 2″ wheels and a stainless steel handle for easy maneuverability.

You can even add on a spotter platform to assist with spotting bench press variations.

One of the best features is that it also has a grippy pad to prevent slipping while setting up for any movement you’re trying to do.

This Bench also has 7 adjustments ranging from 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, and 85-degree angles.

Considering this Bench is rated at 1,000 lbs and is around $500 cheaper than Rogues’ most expensive adjustable bench, this is a huge steal that I definitely recommend.

Check out my AB-5200 review where I go in-depth on this bench if you want to learn more!

Runner Up Adjustable – AB-3000 FID Adjustable Bench

The runner-up adjustable bench that rep fitness sells is the AB-3000 FID Adjustable Bench

The AB-3000 is one of the best-selling benches that REP Fitness sells. The main reason is that it’s a flat, Incline, and decline bench with 7 different positions.

It’s made of 7 and 11-gauge steel, just like the AB-5200, so it’s just as stable and durable.

If you want an incredible bench that delivers solid value, this is the bench you want to get.

The other main reason I would recommend this is that it’s cheaper than Rogues’ most expensive flat bench, but it’s obviously adjustable. This gives a wider range of exercises you can do, which is important for a home gym.

Best Flat – FB-5000 Comp Flat Bench

Best REP Flat Bench
REP FB-5000 Comp Flat Bench

REP FB-5000 Competition Flat Bench is perfect for your heavy lifting needs. It is designed to meet IPF height standards and is made of heavy-duty, 11-gauge steel. This flat, competition-style bench has a 1,000 lb weight capacity and grooved, rubber feet that protect your floor and keep the bench in place. The integrated steel handle and industrial roller wheels make it easy to move around your gym or home. While the narrow or fat pad options provide the perfect fit for every user.

The best flat bench that Rep Fitness makes is the FB-5000 Comp Flat Bench

This thing is an actual tank constructed from 11 gauge steel and is rated for 1,000 lbs.

It also has a 3-post design, which allows you to set your feet wherever you like, just like in a powerlifting competition.

If you want, you can even choose a wide pad to give you a more stable position to press from.

This allows you to lift heavier weights with better stability so you can bench safely and strong.

If you want a competition-style powerlifting bench specifically for the bench press, this is your best bet.

Runner Up Flat – FB-3000 Flat Bench

The runner-up bench that rep fitness offers is the FB-3000 Flat Bench

This bench is heavy-duty, rated for 700 lbs, and is around $60 less than the Rogues budget bench option with similar specs.

If you just want a solid budget bench and don’t plan on benching over 600 lbs, this bench will handle everything you throw at it.

Rep Fitness Dumbbells

Next up, we have Rep Fitness dumbbells, which are basically impossible to get for a good price.

Every option I’ve looked into has cost a couple of grand for a full set, which in most people’s minds is at least 5-100 lbs.

If you have the money and want to get some solid dumbbells, REP has some decent options for you to check out.

If you prefer a more budget option, check out the best adjustable dumbbells here.

Best – REP Urethane Coated Round Dumbbell Sets

REP Urethane Coated Round Dumbbell Sets

Rep Fitness’s best dumbbells are their REP Urethane Coated Round Dumbbell Sets

These are available from 5 up to 150 lbs, which is all that most people will require for most dumbbell movements.

These dumbbells are coated in urethane, which is extremely resistant to abrasion and will show less age over time than rubber dumbbells.

These also have a round dumbbell design, which gives them a sleek look, and the best part is they actually have fully knurled handles for the best grip possible.

If you want the best dumbbells possible from REP, these are what you want to get.

Runner-Up – REP Rubber Hex Dumbbell Sets

The runner-up dumbbells that REP has are their REP Rubber Hex Dumbbell Sets

These have fully knurled handles with a hex design, so they won’t roll around between sets. The other benefit to these is that they’re much cheaper than REPs’ Urethane dumbbells with the same performance.

If you get the full 5-100 lb set, they’re around $3,000 less, which is a huge saving.

You can even add a Rep dumbbell set storage rack to keep your home gym nice and tidy.

These are the cheapest dumbbells you can get from REP, but they’re still better than many dumbbells out there without knurled handles.

Rep Fitness Power Racks

Next up, we have the most important piece of equipment you need for a home gym, and it’s also the one that REP Fitness specializes in.

Power Racks!

While they might not have as many options as Rogue or even Titan, that’s completely fine.

The options they do have are incredible and have a growing list of accessories you can get to further expand your garage gym.

Let’s check them out now!

Best – REP PR-5000 V2 Power Rack

The absolute best rack that they sell is the REP PR-5000 V2 Power Rack

This thing is an absolute beast!

The PR-5000 is constructed entirely of 11 gauge steel with 1″ hardware for maximum stability.

This rack has a 4-way laser cut design that allows you to use many different accessories on it, depending on your needs.

Some of these attachments include the following:

  • Lat/Low Row Attachment. You can literally add a lat pulldown system into your rack, which is a huge space saver compared to investing in a separate piece of equipment.
  • Leg rollers. These are great for single-leg movements such as split squats and holding you down while doing pulldowns.
  • Dip attachment
  • Band pegs
  • Landmine attachments
  • Weight horns
  • Front foot extensions
  • Different safeties and j-cups
  • Different pullup bars
  • Belt squat
  • Store
  • Spotter arms
  • Iso-Lever Arms and more!

Seriously they’re adding so many new attachments it’s crazy to see what they’ll have available in the coming years.

If you want the absolute best power rack possible, the REP PR-5000 V2 Power Rack is what you want to get!

Runner Up – REP PR-4000 Power Rack

The runner-up power rack they make is the REP PR-4000 Power Rack.

This might be considered a runner-up, but it’s very similar to the PR-5000.

The PR-4000 has 5/8″ hardware instead of the 1″ that the PR-5000 has.

The uprights are also slightly different in that the PR-4000 has 2″ spacing through most of them but also has Westside spacing through the bench area.

This assists in getting a more accurate position for your j-cups and safeties.

The PR-4000 also has multiple choices for the cross-members. You can select between 24, and 30″ if you want a smaller footprint.

While also being able to pick 41″ for the highest stability possible.

The other thing great thing about the PR-4000 is that it also has options for weight storage, lat and low rows, belt squat, iso-lever arms, and more, just like its big brother does.

Learn more in my PR-4000 Power Rack review for an in-depth look!

Budget – REP PR-1100 Home Gym Power Rack

Budget REP Power Rack
REP PR-1100 Power Rack

The PR-1100 is the best budget power rack due to its multi-grip pull-up bar, laser engraved numbered uprights, UHMW plastic-lined J-hooks, extra weight storage, wide selection of attachments, impressive 700 lb weight capacity, and its compact size.

Finally, we have REPs’ budget option, the REP PR-1100 Home Gym Power Rack

This rack has a lot of great things going for it. The main positive is its cheap price tag for the base model.

If you don’t get any special attachments, it costs less than $300, which is insane for its build quality and the unique attachments you can also get.

You won’t find this option for any Amazon racks I’ll tell you that!

The main features of this bar that I think are worth mentioning include the following:

  • Multi-Grip Pullup Bar – Having a pullup bar for wide-grip, chinups, or neutral grip pullups is awesome, considering most racks in this range only have a straight pullup bar.
  • Numbered Uprights – Having numbered uprights is a huge help when you’re trying to line up your j-cups. It really is a huge headache when they aren’t numbered, so this is a really nice feature.
  • Plastic Lined J-Cups – Most crappy j-cups I’ve seen are pure steel without any protective coating. This will slowly wear down your barbell so having a plastic lining is an awesome plus to protect your bars.
  • Extended Safeties – Some racks in this price range don’t come with strong safeties, which is a problem when training alone. Having extended safeties just makes your workouts safer so you can crush your goals and stay injury-free.

If you’re just starting out building your home gym, the PR-1100 is probably the best budget rack you can get.

You can slowly add attachments to expand your gym options and still get stronger over time with its 700 lb weight capacity.

This power rack is the perfect choice for a home gym, and you can add a lot of the same attachments that you can get with the bigger PR-4000 and PR-5000 models.

If you want the best power rack at an incredible price, the PR-1100 is what I recommend you get.

The only bad thing I can say about this rack is that it has 3″ hole spacing on the uprights, which might make it awkward unracking depending on your structure.

Regardless of the price, it’s a small negative that you’ll have to work around.

Rep Fitness Weight Plates

Rep Fitness has many options for weight plates, between competition bumper plates to standard iron plates, they have it all!

The cool thing is that many of them are priced very well, so you won’t spend a ton on marked-up plates.

We’ll start with their best and runner-up bumpers, followed by iron plates as well!

Best Bumper – REP Competition Bumper Plates (LB)

The best bumper plates they currently make are the REP Competition Bumper Plates.

These are priced around $2.50 per lb, which is an excellent price considering that they’re competition-style bumpers with a zinc-coated steel disc insert, which helps with durability and provides a low bounce for the Olympic lifts.

They’re also color coated green, yellow, blue, and red for 25, 35, 45, and 55 lbs, respectively.

Suppose you’re interested in competition-style bumper plates that are actually a really good value.

In that case, the REP Competition Bumper Plates are for you!

Runner-Up Bumper – REP Color Bumper Plates

Reps runner-up bumper plates is the REP Color Bumper Plates!

These plates are perfect if you want an affordable pair of plates for the big 3, Olympic weightlifting, and even CrossFit style training.

The REP Color Bumper Plates are sold in pairs from 10 lbs up to 55 lbs, which is great for those that are just started out with the Olympic lifts or just regular old Deadlifting.

The fantastic thing about these plates is that they’re priced even better than REP’s competition plates!

The 10 and 15-lb plates are more specialized equipment, so they cost a little more at $2.35 and $1.80 per lb.

However, the 25-55 lb plates only range from $1.50-$1.68 per lb.

These are still incredibly affordable, considering that the standard that people are selling these off-market is at a minimum of $2 per lb for basic iron plates.

Getting bumper plates as low as $1.50 per lb is one of the best deals you’re going to get.

The REP Color Bumper Plates also have low bounce as well so you don’t have to worry about chasing the bar around.

According to REP, they also have a thinner profile than most bumper plates, so you can fit up to 515 lbs on a standard barbell.

Considering all of these points, these are some of the best budget bumper plates on the market.

If you want some nice budget bumper plates, the REP Color Bumper Plates are for you!

Best Iron – REP Equalizer Iron Olympic Plates

The best iron plates they sell are the REP Equalizer Iron Olympic Plates.

The equalizer plates were formerly called the “Rep Hex Plates,” but they renamed them for obvious reasons.

These have a nice design with a built-in grip to easily rack and unrack your weights.

They also have a machine-drilled hole that allows the plates to fit tightly on the bar, and the best part is that these plates are only around $1.36 per lb if you buy one of the sets they have available.

This is one of the cheapest sets you’re going to find for iron plates, and they have a higher quality than others that are being sold at $2+ per lb.

If you want some solid, smooth, machined plates at a budget price that is high quality, the REP Equalizer Iron Olympic Plates are for you!

Runner-Up Iron – REP Iron Plates

REP Iron Plates

REP iron plates are a great way to load up your bar with some well priced iron plates! Standard 17.7" diameter 45 lb plates!

You would think after the prices I just showed you for all of Reps’ plates that the prices couldn’t get any lower, right? Wrong!

REP Iron Plates are priced between $1.16-$1.30 per lb, an insane value considering how expensive other plates can be.

Plus, many reviews from people with low expectations because of how cheap they are noticed that they have a premium finish without any plates being damaged or chipped at all.

If you need premium quality plates with one of the best deals on the market, the REP Iron Plates are the best value you can possibly get.

Check them out when they’re in stock, and let me know what you think!

Conclusion

Now I turn it over to you!
